Philadelphia, PA – The Parker Administration and city workers are on track to clean every city block this summer.

In an update Tuesday, the Office of Clean and Green has cleaned 5,000 blocks and 1,500 lots out of the 18,000 blocks that will be cleaned by the end of Parker’s 13-week initiative.

This city-wide cleaning includes clearing garbage and debris, towing abandoned cars, filling potholes, and removing graffiti.

The program is a pillar of Parker’s first-year agenda, with her belief that a cleaner city will improve public safety.
