    Walk for recovery aims to raise awareness about sober living

    The road to recovery isn’t always easy, but Dylan McKinney is stepping up to not only share his recovery story, but also to raise awareness and funds to help his community.

    “If you are someone in recovery, you can’t help but feel a sense of gratitude and a sense that you want to help others in the same ways you were helped because it truly takes a small army to get someone clean and sober,” says McKinney.

    The 2,000 challenge: A walk for recovery was just one of the many ways McKinney made good on his promise to help others. The idea to walk from Dover, NJ to Kensington Avenue in Philadelphia in under 2000 minutes stemmed from his 2,000 days of continuous sobriety.
