Two years ago, Sesame Place pal Elmo adopted his dog, Tango. This month, the popular Bucks County theme park where they live will celebrate.
The "Gotcha Day" celebration at Sesame Place Philadelphia will take place from July 12-14, a two-day event featuring new dog-themed activities and attractions including new Puppy Park Flower Maze.
In addition to meet-and-greets with Tango and other beloved characters, guests can enjoy special events:
- A Furry Friends Doggy Dance Party, where guests can join Elmo, Tango, Zoe and Prairie Dawn at Oscar's Wacky Taxi Stage in the park.
- Outside of Trader Bert's, guests can experience the all-new Puppy Park Flower Maze.
- A scavenger hunt, where guests can search the park for items that Elmo needs to take care of Tango. Guests can turn in completed activity sheets at Mr. Hooper’s Gift Shop for a prize at the end of the hunt.
- Specialty meet-and-greets, featuring Tango, Barkley and other beloved characters will take place throughout the celebration. The meet & greets will take place in the Sesame Street Neighborhood and at the Sesame Street Theater.
The Barkley character will be available for meet & greets at Oscar’s Wacky Taxi Stage; season pass members can visit the Sesame Street Theater at 2 p.m. during the celebration for a special meet-and-greet with characters Elmo, Tango, Zoe and Rocco.
Tango will also appear in the Sesame Street Party Parade and in Sesame Place Philadelphia's newest show, "Welcome to the Party."
