State College, Pa. — A man claimed to be at an Airbnb when police allegedly found him in a stranger's bed at an apartment last week.

Waathiq Hall, 27, of Philadelphia, was disoriented with bloodshot eyes when police woke him up inside an apartment in the 800 block of W. Prospect Avenue in State College, Officer Larry Hopkins said. Hall allegedly claimed to believe he was in an Airbnb.

A woman in the apartment called police on July 13 after she noticed a strange man in bed with her roommate and her roommate's friend, charges say. The man was unfamiliar to her and she didn't believe he was supposed to be there, according to police.

When police arrived, they noticed the front door windowpane and door jam were broken out. Inside the apartment, they reportedly found three people sleeping in a bed, including the man later identified as Hall.

Police woke the roommate and her friend, who both denied knowing the stranger asleep next to them, Hopkins wrote.

Hall, who was wearing only boxer shorts, allegedly smelled of alcohol and had slurred speech when police woke him up and questioned him. He insisted he was at an Airbnb, but couldn't provide an address for it, police said.

Hall is being charged with criminal trespassing breaking into a structure, criminal mischief, and public drunkenness. He is free on $17,500 unsecured bail.
