PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Four student reporters from Temple University are going to the Olympics, as they head to Paris to broadcast from the summer Games.

The students from Temple's TV station plan to report stories about how the Games are affecting the people and businesses near the competition.

"We are really going to hammer down the local elements of how the Parisians feel about this," said Temple senior Natalie Koranda. "We're going to be meeting other media people and people of all different walks of life."

Koranda and fellow students Hayden Winter, Rachel Williams and Maggie Przywara will be reporting live on TUTV with noon broadcasts on July 23, 25 and 30.

"During those live shows, all four of us that are going to Paris will most likely be on camera at least once," Koranda told KYW Newsradio.

TUTV general manager Paul Gluck said the students will work alongside professionals, through a partnership with NBC10.

"We think one of the highest values available to a student is to go and do the thing they want to do professionally," Gluck told KYW Newsradio. "This will be their opportunity to travel thousands of miles from home, to confront a language barrier, to deal with what is required to capture a world-class story."

Koranda said the trip, her first out of the U.S., should offer an invaluable experience.

"It truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.  And I feel like whenever employers see that I do have this experience covering the Games, it'll really make me stand out."

The trip was arranged through Temple's Klein Global Opportunities program .
