A seven-month-old baby is in stable condition after being shot and left alone, with the horrifying moment captured on CCTV footage.

The video shows a couple out on a walk with their baby in Holmesburg, Philadelphia, on Thursday when a woman approached and began shooting at them. TMZ reports that the infant was shot in the leg, and the father fled the scene upon hearing the gunshots, leaving the woman and baby behind. The woman walked past the mother and baby, but when the mother screamed, “My baby,” the shooter fired another shot at point-blank range while screaming, “F*** your baby, b***h.”

After the shooting, the mother also fled the scene, leaving the baby alone. Authorities arrived and found the baby, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Investigators said it is unclear why the couple left their baby alone, but they were found an hour later. Additionally, the shooting stemmed from an argument between both parties, but it is unclear what the argument was about.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. However, a neighbor who took the baby to a hospital said to NBC that the parents were reportedly afraid because they had warrants.

“When I find out the baby was seven months and both parents said they have warrants. They got out the car and I took the baby. I just felt like I had to protect this child. It was overwhelming. It was scary. This person came up and didn’t care with no remorse and just fired and walked away like nothing happened.”
