Jalen Hurts, Nick Sirianni trying to patch up ‘disconnect’ to avoid another Eagles meltdown

While things aren’t as bad in Philadelphia as they were in December and January of last season, things still need to be worked out — reportedly between Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts.
According to The Athletic’s Dianna Russini , the head coach and quarterback still need to work on their relationship to squash the “disconnect” they endured in the 2023 season “due to their personalities.”
Sirianni is quick to express his emotions, while Hurts has always remained rather private.

Russini also pointed out that although Brian Johnson, who had a great relationship with Hurts, was the offensive coordinator last season, the offense was truly run by Sirianni.
And Sirianni’s conservative play-calling didn’t coincide with what Hurts wished for in the offense, including his own running game.
Hurts is coming off a career-high 3,858 yards and 23 passing touchdowns last season, but he was also intercepted 15 times, the first time that number reached double-digits in his NFL career.
