Are the 76ers the top landing spot for All-Star forward?

The Philadelphia 76ers must fill out their roster with veteran minimum contracts, one of which could be a former All-Star forward.

Free agent forward Gordon Hayward is at a point in his career where winning an NBA championship is a top priority. The 34-year-old's latest tenure came with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he averaged 5.4 points and recorded no points in the playoffs. Whether he's able to produce at a high level on the floor remains to be seen, but at least Hayward can act as a strong veteran leader.

"It happens quickly to a lot of NBA players. Now it feels like we can add Gordon Hayward to the ring-chasers category," Bleacher Report's Andy Bailey wrote . "The Philadelphia 76ers completely overhauled their supporting cast around Tyrese Maxey and Joel Embiid this summer and could still use an experienced, low-usage forward in lineups including those two and Paul George."

The Sixers' forward room is built on George, Caleb Martin, Ricky Council, and Adem Bona. It's clear an extra player who can stretch the floor when needed would benefit their rotation. Hayward knocked down 41.1% of his shots from 3-point range last season on 1.8 attempts. He hasn't attempted a high number of shots from the arc since his days with the Utah Jazz, but if asked, could revert to that play style.
