“Calling All Girl Bosses”: Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania launch program for middle and high school girls

Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania is getting ready for their program, “ Calling All Girl Bosses. “

Starting in September, GSEP will host 12 workshops throughout the 2024-2025 school year that focus on identifying problems in the community and creating solutions.

GSEP says the curriculum is crafted specifically for Philadelphia girls.

“These girls have boundless potential to drive positive change in their communities, and we could not be more excited to provide them with the access, support, skills, and guidance they need to turn their visions into reality,” GSEP CEO Kim E. Fraites-Dow said. “By identifying and developing sustainable solutions to real issues and working with adult mentors these girls will lead the change they want to see in Philadelphia, all while developing the self-confidence they will need to be successful in life.”

The workshops will cover things like building relationships and leadership experience, developing and practicing skills like project management, problem solving, and communication.

This program is open to all girls in Philadelphia in grades 6-12, not just Girl Scouts.

“I am excited to be a part of Calling All Girl Bosses because I can meet new people and have new experiences,” said Makensie J., Girl Advisor.

The program will end with the GSEP Girl Expo, Girlz Day, Our World Our Way in May 2025.
