Former Philadelphia Eagles star Haason Reddick is already holding out of training camp with his new team.

The Eagles traded Reddick to the Jets for a conditional third-round selection back in April and he’s seeking an adjustment to his contract, if not an outright extension, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport .

Reddick was a big splash in free agency for the Eagles in March of 2022, inking a contract worth $45 million over three years after a one-year, prove-it stint in Carolina. He matched the hype, too, recording 16 sacks in 17 games upon arrival, plus two in the NFC title game en route to the Super Bowl, plus 11 more sacks last season.

Eagles general manager Howie Roseman rolled the dice in April, though, trading away Reddick and adding Bryce Huff to bolster the pass-rush on a three-year, $51 million deal.

Now, it’s the Jets dealing with the understandable holdout from the pass-rusher who has double-digit sacks in each of his last four seasons after not reworking the deal after the trade. Meanwhile, the Eagles will pair Huff with Nolan Smith, the team’s first-round pick in 2023 and breakout candidate , under new coordinator Vic Fangio.
