Philadelphia Eagles training camp is in full swing and new offensive lineman Mekhi Becton is feeling the pain and heat, but taking it like a champ.

According to The Athletic's Brooks Kubena , Becton puked on the sidelines at least four times during this morning's practice, though other reporters counted up to 10 times .

But he rallied and went back in a few plays later, per Kubena.

It was a hot one today in Philadelphia with the heat index reaching well into the high 80s during the Eagles' first training camp practice.

Becton, 6-foot-7, 363 pounds, came to Philly on a one-year deal back in April.

Before joining the Eagles, he was initially an 11th overall pick out of Louisville by the New Jets in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Unfortunately, injuries have plagued a good chunk of Becton's NFL career. Following a strong rookie debut in 2020, he played just one game between 2021 and 2022. The good news is that he was in full health last season and started 16 games for the Jets.

More good news is that Becton is also notably a few pounds lighter since he was drafted and weighs in at 350 pounds, which puts a little less stress on that banged-up knee.

The Eagles are hoping to take full advantage of his size and have cross-trained him at multiple positions. Not only has Becton taken reps with the left and right offensive tackles, but he has also gotten looks at guard, a position he's never played before.

If he masters that position over the next few weeks, then he could find himself sliding into the starting five come Week 1.

And by the looks of it, he's determined.
