PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A recent report in the Journal of the American Medical Association reviewed data from more than 5,000 men and women who have lived to at least 80 years old, including about 2,000 who have lived to 100.

According to the report, five lifestyle changes can contribute to a longer life.

Avoiding alcohol and cigarettes is critical, as well as weight control and exercise.

The fifth finding is dietary diversity — people who eat a wide variety of foods from different food groups.
