USA TODAY named its Bars of the Year. This Philadelphia favorite made the list

Bloomsday in Philadelphia made USA TODAY’s list of best bars in the country.

The USA TODAY Bars of the Year 2024 list, released today, features 27 bars from dives to high-end cocktail bars.

"Our ethos is on making regulars. Building guest relations is a focus. Whatever your routine is, we want to be a part of it. Even if you only come every Sunday to get that croissant, that's your time and energy," said D’Onna Stubblefield, the bar's sommelier and beverage director.

USA TODAY Network food journalists live and work in states across the country. They know their communities, and they pooled their expertise to select the list, which includes the places they spend their time and recommend to readers and friends.

Bloomsday was chosen because of its intriguing cocktails, wine list and vermouths while also being a place where the community gathers for books clubs, tarot nights and other events.
