Howard Eskin apologizes after being barred from ballpark for report of ‘unwelcome kiss’

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — WIP Sportsradio host Howard Eskin apologized on the air nearly four weeks after he was banned from Citizens Bank Park for a reported “unwelcome kiss” toward an Aramark worker.

Earlier this month, 94.1 WIP parent company Audacy said in a statement that it learned of an unwanted advance by Eskin back in May and decided to suspend him from the ballpark for the remainder of the season.

He started his WIP show on Saturday with an apology.

“I’d like to briefly address the recent reports about an incident at Citizens Bank Park,” he said. “I’m not going to get into specifics other than to say that I recognize my actions have offended and upset her. I feel awful about that. I really do. I apologized to her at the time of the incident and I apologize again now. I’m truly sorry that this did occur.”

The Sixers also revoked his access to their training facility in Camden.
