Vice President Kamala Harris is set to unveil her running mate before a joint rally on Tuesday.

Since launching her campaign last week, speculation has swirled as to who Harris will pick as her vice president, with many strategists believing it will be a centrist Democratic governor. She is set to unveil her pick shortly before a joint Philadelphia rally next week, according to Politico.

After the Philadelphia kickoff rally, the two will hold rallies in Wisconsin, Detroit, Raleigh, North Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; Phoenix, and Las Vegas.

"Next week, Vice President Harris and her future running mate will crisscross the country together to campaign to the voters who will decide this election. As a strong reminder, and as she said today, Vice President Harris has made no decision on a running mate," the Harris campaign said in a statement.

The choice of Philadelphia as the launch of the Democratic duo may hint as to who she is leaning toward, however, as it will be in Gov. Josh Shapiro's (D-PA) own state.

Shapiro has been campaigning for Harris at several stops, taking shots at former President Donald Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH).

Other contenders for the running mate spot include Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Govs. Andy Beshear (D-KY) and Tim Walz (D-MN), and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

Harris has narrowed the gap with Trump in polling after Trump achieved record heights against President Joe Biden following the latter's shaky debate performance on June 27. The president finally stepped aside under immense pressure from allies last week, making Harris the presumptive Democratic nominee.
