Did Lil Dicky Really Convince Paul George To Sign With Philadelphia?

Paul George signed with the 76ers this offseason and it turns out that PG needed an extra push in order to land in Philadelphia. Lil Dicky was somehow a vital cog in helping the 76ers to acquire Paul George.

George says Lil Dicky’s financial advice of having a dollar go much further in Philly compared to LA made his decision easier:

“That video—it sold me. What hit me was the saving money. It impacted me, it had a little touch on me,” George said.

“I just thought, what would be pertinent information? I’m from Philadelphia, I know where your dollar goes in Philadelphia,” the rapper said. “I have a house in L.A., if I spent the same amount of money on a house in Philadelphia, it would be like 100 times bigger. Your bang for your buck goes so much further in Philadelphia.”

I’m not sure why George needed Lil Dicky to explain to him that it’s much cheaper to live in Pennsylvania compared to California but good for him for getting that crucial advice.

Side note: Does anybody actually believe in this 76ers team? Not that they won’t be better / more entertaining. We just all know this team isn’t a real contender to actually win the East, right?
