Rapid City Police identify driver killed in Cambell Street crash
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Monday’s single-vehicle accident on Cambell Street resulted in the death of Corry Baragar, 51, RCPD announced Thursday. According to eyewitnesses, the Rapid City man lost control while driving a white sedan at high speeds southbound on Cambell Street, resulting in a violent crash at the intersection on St. Patrick Street. Baragar’s vehicle reportedly flipped and ended up resting on its front bumper.
Woman sentenced to 5 years probation for failure to pay $168k in taxes
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Josefina Leui was sentenced to 5 years probation, with 8 months of electronic monitoring, for failure to pay over $168,000 in taxes. Leui has not paid employee withholding to the IRS since 2017. After calculating interest she owes over $400,000 to the IRS, and $168,759 in restitution.
Colorado woman on life support after drunk driver accident in Sturgis
RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Aaften Wesbrock was one of the thousands to travel to Sturgis earlier this month. She was set to work the event but was hit by a drunk motorcyclist. Wesbrock’s mother, Vanessa Handy, said Wesbrock suffered a major brain injury. She is still in South Dakota where she has been on life support for more than two weeks.
