    County veterans and social services expo

    The Price County Veterans Services Office is hosting an Outreach and Benefits EXPO from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 18 at the city of Phillips Municipal Building, 174 S. Eyder Ave.

    The event is designed to serve veterans especially, with staff of other agencies that have specific veterans related benefits and programming available to provide information and answer questions regarding PACT ACT, VA Health Care and more for individuals and caregivers.

    The veterans related organizations present to provide information on services and benefits include Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion posts and auxiliary units, AmVet Auxiliary Post 50, Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs, Tomah VA Medical Center and Iron Mountain VA Medical Center, Veterans Outreach and Recovery Program, VET Center of La Crosse and Northwoods National Cemetery.

    Price County Health and Human Services Departments and other agencies will be present to explain American Senior Benefits, United Health Care, county senior programs, disability resources, public health programs, energy assistance, adult protective services, scam awareness, behavioral health and mental health, substance use and awareness.
