The Phillips Fire Department responded to two fires on June 25. Both are believed to be caused by lightning strikes related to the early morning storm.
The department was dispatched to a garage fire at 195 Shaw Street at approximately 1:18 a.m. The department responded with two engines, the heavy rescue and command vehicles and 11 firefighters. Central Price County Ambulance Service and Phillips Police Department also responded.

The second dispatch was a 5:57 a.m. house fire call to W9619 County Road S. The department responded with two engines, a tender, the heavy rescue and command vehicles and 12 firefighters.
