    Pohatcong Township Promotes Sergeant Mike Cozze to Lieutenant

    The Township of Pohatcong officially swore in Sergeant Mike Cozze as Lieutenant during a July 16, 2024, Pohatcong council meeting at the Pohatcong municipal building.

    PHILLIPSBURG, NJ – In a testament to the dedication and excellence of its police force, the Township of Pohatcong officially swore in Sergeant Mike Cozze as Lieutenant during a July 16, 2024, Pohatcong council meeting at the Pohatcong municipal building.

    The promotion, which was approved at the May 21, 2024, town meeting, marks a milestone for both Lieutenant Cozze and the Pohatcong Police Department.

    The event was attended by local police officers, community members, and town officials, reflecting the community’s support for its law enforcement. Chief of Police Scott Robb praised Lieutenant Cozze for his service within the department, as did members of Council and Mayor Dave Slack.

    “Lieutenant Cozze has a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of our community,” Mayor Slack said. “His promotion is well-deserved.”

    Lieutenant Cozze, who is a valued member of the Pohatcong Police Department, expressed his gratitude and reaffirmed his commitment to serving the community as he took the oath surrounded by members of the police, family and community.

    National Night Out

    Chief Robb also announced that the annual National Night event will be held at Pohatcong School on August 6, 2024, from 6 to 8:00 PM. Residents and families are invited to attend, and special events are planned for this National event , which is an annual community-building campaign to promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
