Severe weather across the Philadelphia region on Tuesday night brought torrential rain, lightening, down trees and left thousands without power.

As of early Wednesday morning, more than 106,000 customers were without power in Pennsylvania, 65,000 of those customers were in Chester County.

Residents in Chester County told PHL17 that they’d resorted to clearing down trees themselves as Pennsylvania State Police was inundated with calls.

Unacceptable response from Peco limited crews and equipment. Could do a better job at restoring power. No excuse
