    PA State Police to host Sunny Day Camp event for individuals with special needs in Delco

    Pennsylvania State Police are hosting a one-day free camp event for individuals with special needs in Delaware County.

    The Sunny Day Camp event will be held on September 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Brandywine Youth Club on 47 Thornton Road in Glen Mills.

    Throughout the day attendees will be able to see demonstrations from the PSP K-9 Unit, Bomb Squad, Sert, Team, Tactical unit, and more. There will also be a police helicopter, and emergency vehicles on display.

    The vision from the event from Pennsylvania State Trooper Samantha Minnucci as a way “to promote good relations between police and children/ adults of special needs.”

    The event is free and lunch, a t-shirt, a personalized graduation certificate, and a police swag bag will be included. Registration is required.
