One person dead after a car crash on Kelly Drive

Kelly Drive was shut down for several hours due to a three-car crash that left one person dead.

Police say the crash happened around 3:30 yesterday afternoon when the driver of a black Nissan made an illegal left turn trying to cut across Kelly Drive to Reservoir Drive.

The vehicle clipped a white Nissan which then hit a black BMW causing that vehicle to spin out of control.

The 41-year-old man was rushed to Temple Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said there were also five others injured as a result of the crash, but none of those injuries were reported to be life threatening.
