As many college students throughout the area are busy packing and moving into their dorm rooms for the start of the academic year, college can be a big adjustment, especially for those moving away from home for the first time.

As well as all the adjustments that come with being in college for the first time, it’s important to maintain your health and not forget about it.

PHL17’s Kelsey Fabian spoke to Bianca Carbone a Personal Trainer, and Carly Baillis a Registered Dietician at Life Time King of Prussia to get some tips to stay healthy this back-to-school season.

    • Stay active: Exercise is a natural stress reducer and promotes focus. Developing a go-to routine for movement each day can help keep students on schedule and stress-free.
    • Maintain a healthy eating schedule and eat healthy foods: Stocking healthy meals and snacks in your dorm room can help resist the craving to pick up something greasy.
    • Get an appropriate amount of rest: Learn how to maximize your time and stay energized throughout the semester by implementing a good sleep and recovery routine.
