The poultry company, Perdue, is issuing a recall on more than 160,000 pounds of frozen chicken.

A thin strand of metal has been found in some packages of Perdue chicken nuggets and tenders that ended up there during manufacturing, according to the company.

The affected products have a best by date of March 23.

There have been no reports yet of consumers getting sick, but health officials are urging people to check their freezers and throw these products away.
