School is in session and if your student still needs their updated vaccines, the Camden County Department of Health and Human Services is offering free back-to-school vaccines on August 27 and 29.

Children who attend the free vaccine clinics will be able to receive:

    • Ages 4 to 6 DTap, polio, and MMR vaccines,
    • Ages 11 and 12 Tdap and meningococcal vaccines
    • Age 16 can receive meningococcal vaccines.

The vaccines will be administered on the following dates and locations:

    • August 27 at Clementon Elementary School, 4 Audubon Ave, Clementon from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
    • August 29 at the Wiggins Center- Health First Care and Wellness Center, 400 Mt. Vernon Street, Camden from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.

“The back-to-school season is here so if you haven’t already, please take advantage of one of these clinics to get your child up to date on their vaccines,” said Commissioner Virginia Betteridge, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services.

“It is imperative that children are caught up on these vaccines, so they are in the classroom and ready to learn on the first day of school.”
