Convicted child predator extradited back to Montgomery County

A convicted child predator is back in Montgomery County after serving a prison sentence in the United Kingdom.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s office and the FBI said Gerard Zalewski skipped bail in 2006 before his sentencing hearing on child sexual assault charges.

He was later found in England 10 years later in 2016, where he was convicted and sentenced to 12 years in prison on similar charges.

Zalewski had been in an English prison until his release to U.S. authorities this past Friday.
