There are growing calls for Camden’s School Board president to resign after a fiery meeting last night.

As reported on Action News at 10 on PHL17, it was the first meeting since the district reached a $2 million settlement involving the board’s president.

It was to resolve allegations that Wahseam Muhammad sexually assaulted a former student in the 90’s.

Muhammad has maintained his innocence, and the Camden City School District superintendent says they humbly acknowledge the challenge they face but remains committed to a successful start to the new school year.
