Fire destroys Fire Chief’s Memorial Bandshell in Norristown, PA

In Norristown, the Fire Chief’s Memorial was destroyed by a large fire.

The Norristown Fire Department reports this happened early Wednesday morning just before 2:00 a.m.

The structure was dedicated more than 100 years ago to remember the hundreds of firefighters who have served the community.

As reported on Action News at 10 on PHL17, it hasn’t been called an arson, but they say it’s a strong possibility.
