    Pennsylvania is in the top 5 states Pro Football Hall of Famers are from, according to study

    A new study shows that Pennsylvania is one of the top five states that produce Pro Football Hall of Famers.

    According to VegasInsider.com, the top five include Pennsylvania, Texas, Ohio, California, and Florida, which together account for 41% of all inductees.

    The study looked at Hall of Famers’ hometown, college, hometown, weight, birthdates, and more.

    In addition to where they are from, the study found some other trends in the players:

    • USC and Notre Dame lead as the top colleges producing Pro Football Hall of Famers.
    • Linebackers are the most represented position , appearing 47 times among Hall of Fame inductees.
    • Running backs are the second most represented position in the Pro Football HoF with 41 inductees.
    • Offensive linemen and holders have the fewest inductees , with only one each making it into the Hall of Fame.
    • 68.7% of Hall of Famers weigh more than 200 lbs, with the average weight being 231 lbs.
    • One in seven Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees have names that start with the letter “J.”
    • Sagittarius is the most common zodiac sign among NFL Hall of Famers.
