    Prost! Oktoberfest season is almost here

    Get out your best lederhosen or dirndl because Oktoberfest season is almost here!

    With events throughout the Delaware Valley get ready for plenty of beer to be poured, pretzels to be eaten, and the sounds of the polka heard all around.

    Kicking off the Oktoberfest season in Philadelphia will be Philadelphia’s favorite German restaurant, Brauhaus Schmitz, and their 16th Annual South Street Oktoberfest on Saturday, September 21. The FREE pay-as-you-go all-day, all-age block party will be filled with a dozen varieties of German beers, savory schnitzels, sausages, delicious German food, live music, dance performances, liter lift competitions, face painting, family fun, and more.

    The event is free for general admission but there are also VIP ticket options available if you want private access to the Brauer Bund Bierhall (indoor seating), VIP drafts, a liter mug, an exclusive Bavarian buffet, seven tokens for beer, no-wait private bathrooms, and additional merch. The cost is $125.

    Don’t put your lederhosen away because the celebrations then continue in South Jersey on September 28 from 12-10 p.m. for Oktoberfest on the Square in Haddon Township’s 20,000 square-foot outside beer garden. The FREE all-day, all-age celebration, will have tons of German beer, German food, live music, Oktoberfest decorations, authentic Munich-style benches, and more.

    The family-friendly event is free and food and drinks will be pay-as-you-go.

    To close off the season with one last Oompa and Ein Prosit, Oktoberfest comes back to Philly with one of the most authentic celebrations in the area. The 6th Annual 23rd Street Armory Oktoberfest will be held on Friday, October 11, and Saturday, October 12. From top to bottom, the 23rd Street Armory will transform into a scene right out of Munich with miles of blue and white décor, custom art, traditional Oktoberfest tables and benches, live music, traditional German dance performances, ‘shotskis’, delicious German food, and all the beer you could ever drink and more.

    The Armory Oktoberfest will be held on two nights with multiple ticket types.

    General admission for Friday night will be $25, and both sessions on Saturday will be $30 per person. All general admissions tickets include one liter of beer.

    The next tier of tickets is VIP which will cost $70 on Friday and $75 on Saturday. These tickets early entrance, reserved seating, two liters of beer, table service, a platter of food, and private bathrooms.

    The final and most expensive ticket tier, which also includes the most is the UBER VIP which will cost $90 on Friday and $95 on Saturday. This ticket type is meant for groups of 4-6 people and includes early entrance, reserved seating, two liters of beer, a meat and cheese board, a Bavarian butcher platter, ‘Schnapski for 4’, and private bathrooms.

    Guests will have an opportunity to choose one of three sessions to attend, but will not be able to attend more than one session with one admission ticket. This event is for adults 21+ only.
