The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that resurfacing is planned on Broad Street (Route 611) and several other state highways across Philadelphia, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties. This is part of multiple ongoing projects to repair over 200 miles of state highway throughout the Philadelphia region.

Motorists are advised by PennDOT to be aware of the following restrictions in each county throughout the next week:

    Philadelphia

    Delaware County

    Montgomery County

According to PennDOT, “Contractors are repairing, milling, and repaving state highways with new asphalt pavement that will seal roadways and provide motorists with a safer and smoother riding surface.”

PennDOT advises motorists to allow for extra time when traveling through the construction zones, as backups and delays will occur.
