Today is National Coffee Ice Cream Day and if you’re looking to grab a scoop or maybe more (we won’t judge), PHL17 has compiled the ten best coffee ice cream spots according to Yelp.

    1. Surreal Creamery: 1016 Race St

    Reviewers say:

“The Vietnamese coffee ice cream was very good. Not too sweet, perfect coffee taste, and very smooth.”

    2. Van Leeuwen’s Ice Cream: 119 S 13th St

    Reviewers say:

“Nice staff and great ice cream! I got the mint chip on a cone and my husband got the coffee. They have pints available as well and their vegan ice cream is the best I’ve ever had.”

    3. Weckerly’s Ice Cream: 9 West Girard Ave

    Reviewers say:

“We had first tried their ice cream when we stopped in the Revolution Coffee Roasters Cafe in Collingswood, NJ (they were giving out free samples of coffee ice cream that was made with Revolution’s coffee).”

“My husband ordered the Cook’s Coffee Cake, which was Caphe Roasters’ Coffee ice cream topped with chocolate ganache and coffee cake crumb between cinnamon sugar cookies. I don’t like chocolate nor am I a coffee drinker so I didn’t try much of his ice cream sandwich but I do like coffee-flavored desserts so I decided to try a bit of the ice cream. The coffee flavor was very strong so if you like to drink coffee, this ice cream sandwich might be right up your alley.”

    4. Matcha Panda Cafe: 202 N 9th St

    Reviewers say:

“BEST CREPE CAKE ON EARTH!!!My fav flavor is jasmine, their coffee is a must try too. I can’t go back to Starbucks after I had their coffee. So good. So addicting. And the ingredients they use is premium. I know I can trust them when I have cravings for desert and it’s wonderful I don’t need to feel guilty afterwards. Matcha panda is definitely my fav desert place in Philly!!!!!!!”

    5. Gran Caffe L’Aquila: 1716 Chestnut St

    Reviewers say:

“Highly recommend the flavor coffee and pistachio! I can say that is the best pistachio gelato I have ever had! So smooth, buttery, and creamy…you actually can taste real pistachio flavor in it. The waiter told us the pistachio is imported from Italy! So are the coffee beans in the coffee gelato! To be honest, I will definitely go back just to get the gelato next time. We also ordered tiramisu and the waitress is very sweet to put birthday candle and write words on the plate! I had a wonderful night with my husband there on my birthday and thank all the waitresses and waiters for the lovely service!! Will go back 100%!”

    6. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams: 1901 Chestnut St

    Reviewers say:

“Excellent ice cream with lots of unique flavors and ingredients. Staff was super helpful and allowed us to sample before we chose.”

    7. Cafe Clover: 1333 W Cheltenham Ave

    Reviewers say:

“I ordered the vanilla cream taiyaki plus coffee ice cream. Such a cute and tasty sweet treat on a summer day. Outfitted with a skewer of gummy candy with a couple choc pocky sticks (my childhood fave snack), you can’t go wrong. Looking forward to trying the taiyaki with green tea ice cream on my next visit.”

    8. John’s Water Ice: 701 Christian St

    Reviewers say:

“Good stuff! Had the coffee ice cream! Quick service. I definitely come back.”

    9. Custard Cakes & Creamery: 5461 Ridge Ave

“Freshly made ice cream sandwiches make this Roxboro seasonal a must-stop. My waffle cone filled with hard coffee ice cream was absolutely delicious. My daughter loves the seasonal ice cream flavors, too. Can’t wait for pumpkin! The drive thru rocks, but park and enjoy the people watching.”

    10. Arctic Scoop: 1812 E Passyunk Ave

    Reviewers say:

“I came to Arctic Scoop after having dinner at Sate Kampar right across the street, and it was an excellent post-dinner treat! I opted for a simple cone with one ice cream scoop, which comes with one topping and one drizzle. I got the Vietnamese coffee ice cream with oreo dust and condensed milk drizzle. The ice cream was so creamy and flavorful, and I loved that a topping and drizzle were included in the price of the ice cream! I definitely recommend checking out Arctic Scoop if you’re in the area of East Passyunk.”
