Free food alert! Nanu’s Hot Chicken to give away hundreds of meals from 4-8 p.m.

Attention foodies and hot chicken lovers, you may have the opportunity to get some free food if you head to Bensalem later this afternoon.

To celebrate its grand opening, Nanu’s Hot Chicken will be giving away hundreds of FREE meals featuring their halal Nashville-style spice-coated hot chicken tenders and Nanu’s favorites, including a Chicken Sandwich with fries, served with pickles, cheese, coleslaw, and Nanu’s special sauce all ranging from no spice to reaper in regular or hot honey.

Today, Friday, September 6, from 4-8 p.m. those who attend the grand opening event will get their hands on some delicious food as well as the opportunity to participate in the ultimate tailgate party with food giveaways, raffle giveaways, a food-eating contest with prizes, a Philadelphia DJ playing music, and more.

Nanu’s Hot Chicken is located at 1947 Street Road in Bensalem, PA.

“We are bringing the heat to Bensalem,” said one of the owners, Muhammad Faisal.

“I live in Bucks County near this location and love my local community. I know this area, I know our neighbors and I know my food – I am excited to bring this all together. This is a win-win as it lets me bring my own community the food that I love. This is living the dream and I am so thankful for this opportunity.”

Nanu’s was created by four brothers, Imran, Ikram, Haroon, and Nanu Rashid, who had a dream to make real change happen in the world and who had a passion for helping those in need. The restaurant is named after Nanu, who was born with Down Syndrome.

The four brothers created Nanu’s in 2023 and opened their first location at 2210 Cottman Avenue in July of that year.

Since then, Nanu’s has grown to have eight locations throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, with a ninth on the way!
