The first presidential debate against former president Donald Trump and vice-president Kamala Harris is happening this week and many of the road closures have started, however the major closures start tomorrow.

There will be various closures surrounding the area of the National Convention Center.

Beginning early morning Tuesday September 10th, street closures will start from Arch to Market Streets, between 4th and 7th Streets.

The 6th Street exit off I-676 eastbound will be closed and I-676 westbound expected to remain open but may close if necessary.

Eastbound lanes for the Ben Franklin Bridge from I-676 into New Jersey are set to close after rush hour Tuesday for the debate.

The city said employees who work inside the secure zone or the areas where roads will be closed should access their building through a business entry point at 7th and Arch Streets.
