Plastic bag ban is now in effect in Upper Dublin Township, PA.

The ordinance was enacted back in March, but enforcement began yesterday.

Now stores within the township can no longer provide single-use plastic bags. Customers are encouraged to bring their own reusable one.

There are some exceptions like stores using single-use plastic bags for packaging meat, fish or bakery goods.
