Celebrate National Cheeseburger Day in Philly with these must-try burgers

Today is National Cheeseburger Day and if you’re looking for a reason to celebrate, over 10 restaurants in Philadelphia are putting their culinary talents in the spotlight with these must-try burgers.
Famous Fourth Street Delicatessen :
Classic Burger ($14)
Cheeseburger ($15)
Pastrami Cheeseburger ($20.5)
Cheeseburger Special ($16.5)
Reuben Burger ($20.5)
Bacon Cheeseburger ($20.5)
Patchwork :
Patchwork Burger ($26), made with Swiss cheese and house-made ketchup on a brioche bun, served with French fries. This burger is available for dinner daily starting at 5 pm.
Monday through Friday from 4 pm to 6 pm, as part of the Burger Beer Vibes special, you can also enjoy a burger, a domestic beer, and fries for $24.
Puttshack :
Bacon Jalapeño Cheeseburger, $17: USDA chuck, brisket, and short rib, chargrilled and topped with roasted jalapeño and poblano cream cheese, Pecanwood-smoked bacon, house-made pickled jalapeños, lettuce, tomato, and onion. It’s served on a choice of a butter-toasted brioche or pretzel bun, accompanied by house-made potato chips or French fries.
Red Owl Tavern :
B o ujee Be n ($25), a stylish twist on the classic cheeseburger featuring two 4oz. patties, onion jam, smoked bacon, raclette, arugula, and “steakhouse” aioli.
Tavern Burger ($23), which includes two 4oz. patties topped with new school American cheese, jalapeño jam, smoked bacon, chicken-fried onions, jalapeños, and smoked BBQ mayo.
Square 1682 :
Brunch Burger ($20), which features a seared double patty, hickory bacon, lettuce, tomato, and Cooper sharp cheese, served with fries.
Square Burger ($22), made with a seared double patty topped with garlic aioli, Cooper sharp cheese, house-made pickles, butter lettuce, and a Jersey-fresh tomato on a seeded bun. This unique burger, shaped like a square to match the restaurant’s name, is a special creation just for Square 1682.
The Hayes :
Tavern Burger ($15), a standout menu item featuring a grilled beef short rib blend, Cooper sharp cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and Calabrian chili mayo, all served on a seeded bun. For an extra touch, add an egg or bacon for $3.
The Twisted Tail :
The Twisted Burger ($14), topped with blue cheese, bacon, and bourbon BBQ sauce.
Townsend :
Le Burger ($18) at the bar, which features fresh Bibb lettuce, garlic aioli, and six-month-aged cheddar, all layered on a house-made brioche bun.
Uptown Beer Garden :
Smash Burger ($16), topped with Cooper sharp cheese, special sauce, bacon, and lettuce, and served with fries.
UrbanFarmer :
The Farm Burger ($22), topped with white cheddar cheese and aioli on a house-made English muffin, served with a side of farm fries or a green salad. Guests can also enhance their burgers with bacon or avocado for an additional cost.
Forsythia :
Royale with Cheese, Forsythia’s iconic burger featuring a double smash patty, comeback sauce, comté, onion jam, and house pickles.
Hard Rock Cafe :
A selection of mouthwatering Legendary Burgers, each featuring unique toppings, savory sauces, and rich, melted cheeses.
Stir at the Philadelphia Museum of Art :
PMA Dry Aged Smash Burger is composed of sesame brioche, bacon, griddled onions, Cooper sharp, lettuce, ‘mac sauce, and pommes frites.
Loch Bar Philly :
Loch Burger: two black Angus patties, pickles, white cheddar, shredded lettuce, tomato, and Churchill sauce. The Loch Burger is available during lunch, dinner, and happy hour.
