Happening in Bucks County, hundreds of government workers across multiple county agencies are going on strike.

SEIU Local 668 said they’ve been working without a contract for nine months. The union claims Bucks County has insisted on large cuts to workers’ health benefits.

A spokesperson for Bucks County released a statement , saying they’re aware of the strike and prepared for supervisors to fill in.

“This administration stands ready to continue negotiating to reach a fair salary and benefits package for our valued employees and looks forward to welcoming them back to work on Monday,” said SEIU 668 in a statement.

SIEU 668 represents approximately 500 workers in Bucks County agencies like 911, Children and Youth Services, IT, Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol support, and more.
