Two men are now facing charges after last weekend’s illegal car meetups all across Philadelphia .

The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office said this is just the beginning.

Police charged Deonte Vincent for his alleged role in one of the gatherings in the northeast. He’s accused of almost hitting two officers with his car before crashing into another vehicle and driving away.

Jhonny Martinez is charged for one of the gatherings near Pattison Avenue and Columbus Boulevard in South Philadelphia.

Above are pictures provided by the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office with cars and people involved in the illegal car meetups. WARNING: Some of the pictures contain profanity.

Police said a silver Nissan was doing donuts in the middle of the street. Officers followed that car, before the Nissan crashed into a pole. Four men ran away, but police tracked Martinez down as the driver.

The meetups started at around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday and ended just after 4:30 p.m. Sunday morning, spanning across almost every corner of the city.

Police said at least one officer is recovering.

Assistant District Attorney Kimberly Esack said the DA’s office will collaborate with the Philadelphia Police Department to make sure the suspects are held accountable for their reckless actions.

“I want the individuals who wreaked havoc on our city’s streets over this weekend — many of you from outside of this city — to know that we will find you and we will prosecute you,” said Esack, Supervisor of the DAO’s Carjacking Enforcement Unit.

The DA’s office provided pictures of the people and cars involved in the illegal activity. If you have any information, please contact police at 215-686-TIPS.
