Sept. 28: Linvilla Orchards hosts annual Apple Festival

MEDIA, Penn. — Linvilla Orchards hosts its famous Apple Festival on Saturday where families can pick apples, ride hayrides and get lost in its straw maze. The annual event is scheduled when Pick-Your-Own apples are most commonly at the height of their season, and visitors can choose from the dozens of varieties grown across the 300-acre farm.

Adults can also enjoy the Ship Bottom beer garden adjacent to the farmers’ market. The brewery has a selection of seasonal IPAs on tap, including its Hard Apple Cider, the Cider Donut Hard Cider, Imperial Pumpkin Ale, and Oktoberfest Lager. On October 5, Ship Bottom Brewery will release its Halloween favorite, Ecto Ghouler IPA from noon until it sells out at all three locations in Swarthmore, Penn., Beach Haven, N.J., and Linvilla Orchards in Media, Penn.

The Linvilla Orchards is located at 137 W. Knowlton Road in Media. The Apple Festival is on Saturday, September 28. Pick-Your-Own Apples begins at 8 a.m. Tickets for activities including the hayrides, Apple Blaster and mazes can be purchased online. Pumpkinland is also open on the farm through November 3.
