    USPS announces recommended mailing and shipping dates for the holiday season

    The United States Postal Service announced the best dates to send a package or letter through mail, so those holiday gifts arrive just on time.

    The USPS recommends the following dates for each of their services in mainland states:

    • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 18
    • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
    • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
    • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 21

    The best dates to send your packages in Alaska and Hawaii are:

    • USPS Ground Advantage service: Dec. 16
    • First-Class Mail service: Dec. 18
    • Priority Mail service: Dec. 19
    • Priority Mail Express service: Dec. 20

    USPS urges customers to plan ahead to ship early during this holiday season.
