Weight loss drugs are currently a popular trend in the United States. Ozempic and Wegovy often make headlines and are a topic of conversation on social media, but that doesn’t mean it’s appropriate to comment on someone’s changing body.

“Shy away from questions and conversations that involve body image. A good rule of thumb when you are talking about someone’s appearance is that you don’t want comment on anything that can’t be altered or changed in less than five minutes,” said Bridget Shertzer of the Renfrew Center.

Shertzer says if someone has made you uncomfortable by commenting on your weight loss try redirecting the conversation.
