Celebrity Chef Mark Tarbell Opening Two New Concepts

Mark Tarbell , the celebrity chef and restaurateur behind Tarbell’s, is preparing to open two new concepts in Phoenix , Cultivate and The Vault , located at 3200 E. Camelback Road .

The renowned chef and media personality, known for “Check, Please! Arizona,” will soon open the concepts in the new Bond office redevelopment, formerly known as the Biltmore Commerce Center, in Phoenix’s Camelback Corridor , first reported by the Phoenix Business Journal . Cultivate will be a full-service coffee, cocktail, and food service bar, while The Vault will serve as an exclusive speakeasy hidden in Bond’s sub-level. Both will be open to the general public.

While there is yet to be an exact opening date for the two new concepts, those in the area should be excited about this new arrival, considering Tarbell’s successful past. The restaurateur opened Tarbell’s Restaurant in 1994 and has earned over 50 City “Best Of” and industry awards, including Food & Wine Best Restaurant. On top of the local recognition, Tarbell has also been nominated for James Beard’s “Best Chef – Southwest” and has appeared on many national and statewide programs, including winning on Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.”

In the three decades since he first opened Tarbell’s Restaurant, the chef has opened a well-respected group of restaurants throughout Arizona, including T’s Wine Bar, The Wine Store, Tarbell’s Catering, Tarbell’s The Goods at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 4 and The Tavern at Terminal 3. The celebrity chef will now focus his attention on Cultivate and The Vault.
