Dutch Bros is Growing its Corporate Presence in Phoenix

Dutch Bros Coffee is getting ready to expand its footprint across the country, with Phoenix being a significant city in its plans.

The company announced that it will be opening between 150 and 165 new shops nationwide this year, including at least two sites coming to the West Valley, according to AZ Central . While there isn’t an exact timeline for these openings, the two upcoming sites will be found in Peoria at 91st and Olive Avenues and Glendale near 99th Avenue and Van Buren Street . Last year, the company opened 159 new locations and plans to keep that same pace this year.

This isn’t the only significant change Dutch Bros is undergoing this year, and the company recently announced plans to move 40% of its support services staff to Phoenix. The jobs that will move to Phoenix will support day-to-day operations. CEO Christine Barone said the company has a long-term vision of more than 4,000 stores nationwide. Overall, the company hopes to more than quadruple the number of stores it has across the country over the next 10 to 15 years. At the end of last year, the company had 831 shops across 16 states, 289 of which are franchise-operated.

“As we look toward our long-term objective of 4,000+ shops, strengthening our existing operations in Arizona positions us to compete for the talent we need to accomplish this ambitious goal,” Barone said in a press release . “In addition, Phoenix’s proximity to the nation’s 12th busiest airport provides significantly easier and faster access to our rapidly expanding set of markets across the US, increasing connectivity. The Phoenix market is also one of the strongest in our system, where ‘Dutch Luv’ is embraced every day. We expect that by further establishing a support center in an area of a strong culture, we will keep our customers and baristas top of mind as we grow.”
