Pretty Decent Concepts is Slowly Taking Over Phoenix

Phoenix-based Pretty Decent Concepts is preparing to take over several parts of Phoenix with a handful of bar and restaurant concepts.

Teddy Myers , owner of Pretty Decent Concepts, recently announced he is opening new dining concepts in the former home of Hooter’s at 455 N 3rd St #190 , according to AZ Central . The restaurant group behind Chico Malo and Wren & Wolf restaurants will open three concepts at the long-struggling Arizona Center , including a classic, upscale steakhouse. Additional details regarding the concepts have yet to be revealed, but Pretty Decent Concepts plans to open these concepts in Winter 2025 .

“When you look at Arizona Center, it was a bit of a black eye to the burgeoning restaurant community that is trying to develop here,” Myers said in a statement obtained by the Phoenix Business Journal . “Seven years later, we are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring our vision to one of the marquee restaurant spaces in downtown Phoenix.”

This isn’t the only project opening this year from Pretty Decent Concepts. Last year, the restaurant group announced that it would build its fourth cocktail and creative restaurant concept in the former space belonging to PF Chang’s at Centerpoint on Mill Avenue in Tempe at 740 S Mill Ave #140 . The space concept will occupy 7,700 square feet with a patio. Pretty Decent Concepts plans to open two concepts under one roof in Summer 2024 : a chef-driven New American restaurant and a craft cocktail bar. Finally, the group is planning to open Carry On , a new 1960s airplane-themed cocktail bar, in downtown Phoenix in May 2024 at 2 N. Central Avenue, Suite 101.
