The 2024 WNBA All-Star Game is set to celebrate a prestigious 20-year milestone at a time when the league is experiencing unprecedented success and growth.
This year’s event promises to break the mold, scrapping the traditional East vs. West or team captain formats familiar to the NBA . Instead, it will feature a thrilling showdown between Team USA’s 2024 Paris Olympics roster and the WNBA All-Stars.
The game is set for Saturday, July 20, as the 2024 WNBA All-Star Game lights up Phoenix, Arizona, at the Footprint Center. Home to the Phoenix Mercury , Suns, and the indoor football team Arizona Rattlers, this arena will host an epic "Battle of the Cheryls." Basketball legend Cheryl Miller will coach Team WNBA as they take on Cheryl Reeve and Team USA.

Team USA will showcase basketball titans such as A'ja Wilson, Sabrina Ionescu , and Jewell Loyd . The WNBA All-Stars' opponents will feature a dynamic lineup, including impact rookies Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark , who earned the honors of making the team in their first year.
Beyond the main event, All-Star weekend promises to deliver a spectacular talent showcase with the Starry WNBA 3-point Contest . The long-range shooting event will feature sharpshooters Jonquel Jones, Stefanie Dolson, Allisha Gray, Marina Mabrey, and Kayla McBride, all vying for the title of the league's top long-range shooter.
Adding to the excitement, there will also be a skills challenge, in which Gray and Mabrey will pull double duty, competing once again against Sophie Cunningham, Brittney Griner, and Erica Wheeler.
In the Skills Challenge, players will face off in a timed obstacle course designed to test their dribbling, passing, and shooting skills. The course features an intricate maze that typically includes dribbling through pylons, threading a pass through a small target, and shooting from hot spots on the court.
