Fans Unite In Agreement About Kevin Durant During USA Vs. Serbia

Phoenix Suns superstar Kevin Durant left basketball fans in awe of his performance in Team USA's matchup against Team Serbia on Sunday in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

Durant returned to the lineup after working through a calf injury that kept him sidelined for USA training camp and exhibition games.

The 35-year-old came off the bench for Team USA as head coach Steve Kerr and his staff chose a starting lineup that included LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Jrue Holiday, Devin Booker and Joel Embiid.

Durant entered the game with 2:33 left in the first quarter and quickly lit up the Serbian defense. Despite only playing nine minutes in the first half, he went into the locker room at halftime with 21 points, shooting 5-5 from three-point range and 8-8 from the field.

"BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD. MVP INCOMING" said one fan.

"Maann I think KD surpasses Melo as the Olympic GOAT. Especially if he wins this 4th straight gold medal. Unreal!" said another fan.

"Best shooter on the planet" commented another.

Durant is one of the most decorated Team USA men's basketball players in Olympic history. He's tied with Carmelo Anthony as a three-time gold medalist, having won gold in 2012, 2016, and 2020.

A gold medal in 2024 would place Durant as the only player in men's basketball Olympics history to win four in their international career.

Following their matchup against Serbia on Sunday, Team USA will face off against South Sudan on July 31 at 3 p.m. ET.
