Siskiyou Violins are headed to Vienna for an international music festival
MEDFORD, Ore — The James M. Collier Siskiyou Violins are packing up their instruments and taking a trip to the classical music capital of the world for the 16th annual Summa Cum Laude International Youth Music Festival. Under the direction of Ms. Faina Podolnaya, members of Siskiyou Violins have been working diligently for four years to prepare for this trip. The group currently consists of musicians aged 10 through 26. Board member Kelly Pastrano and her violinist son Rowan joined Marcus Veal on Sunrise this morning to talk all about the group and the overseas trip.
Ashland Residents Invited to Contribute Input for a Homelessness Master Plan
ASHLAND, Ore. — Residents of Ashland will be given an opportunity to share their input on the city’s growing homelessness problem on Wednesday, July 3. The Homeless Services Masterplan Subcommittee (HSMSC) will throw open the discussion for public input before finalizing its proposals to the City Council by August 5. Official weigh-ins for local fighters ahead of combat sport event
MEDFORD, Ore. – On Friday, the Arena Wars combat sports promotion held their official weigh ins for Saturday’s fight night. Fighters made their way to the Trophy Club Bar and Grill in Medford, to step on the scales. The weigh ins are important because it determines if a fighter is eligible to fight. They have to weigh in at their weight division limit and cut several pounds to do so.
