    2024-08-01

This is my momma's homemade chicken salad recipe. It is really simple to make and to this day I cannot stand to eat chicken salad out. I want it homemade by using this recipe right here!

    Ingredients:

    2 Chicken Breasts

    1/3 Cup of Onion

    1/8 Cup of Almonds (sliced)

    1/4 Cup of Mayonnaise

1/2 cup of Heavy Whipping Cream

    Salt and Pepper to taste

    Directions:

Turn your Crockpot on and add 1/2 cup of water into the pot. Add your chicken breasts into the Crockpot along with some salt and pepper. Cook on low 6 - 8 hours or on high for 4 - 6 hours or until the chicken breasts are completely cooked through.

Next take your chicken breast out of the water and drain the water out of the crockpot. Let the chicken cool in a bowl.

After the chicken has cooled down, take the chicken out of the bowl and place it on a cutting board. Shred the chicken with two forks or chop the chicken using a knife. Either way is fine.

Place the chicken back into the bowl and add your mayonnaise, chopped onion, heavy whipping cream, sliced almonds, salt and pepper. You may have to add alittle more mayonnaise or whipping cream to get the chicken salad the right consistancy.

Mix the mixture together and it's then time to eat! I like to use crackers to eat the chicken salad with (it makes me feel like that I am eating healthy, shhhhhhh!!)

Store the leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
