    Creamy Chicken Casserole: A Family Favorite!

    This is my family's chicken casserole recipe!

    Ingredients:

    3 to 4 Chicken Breasts on the Bone

    4 oz of Sour Cream

    1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup

    1 Sleeve of Buttery Crackers

    1 Stick of Butter

    Salt and pepper to taste

    Add the chicken breasts to a medium sauce pan along with the salt and pepper and boil the chicken until it is cooked completely through. Let the chicken cool.

    While the chicken is cooling, begin preheating your oven to 325 degrees.

    Once the chicken breasts are cool, shred the chicken breasts up and discard of the bone. Place the shreded chicken into a 8 X 11 casserole baking dish, being sure to layer it evenly on the bottom.

    After you layer the chicken in the bottom of the casserole baking dish, in another separate small bowl add the sour cream and cream of chicken soup together and mix it together.

    Pour the sour cream and cream of chicken soup mixture over top of the shredded chicken breast.

    Crumble the butter crackers up and place them over top of the sour cream and cream of chicken soup mixture and shreded chicken.

    Melt the stick of butter and pour it evenly over the top of the crackers. Place the chicken casserole into the oven and bake for 30 minutes.

    Once 30 minutes are up, remove the casserole from the oven. The casserole is ready to serve or you can let it cool off for a few minutes, either way it is just as delicious!
